IT / PINES System Administrator 

Location : Georgia Public Library Service 


Under broad supervision, provides leadership for the development, maintenance, and support of highly complex hardware, software, and/or networks; defines procedures for monitoring and evaluates, diagnoses, and establishes work plans to resolve system issues and highly complex problems. Oversees major system and platform configuration, testing, development, and evaluation. Plans for and implements major software upgrades and new hardware and software releases. Identifies the need and/or requirements for system utilities with enterprise-wide impact. Provides Tier II and III support and handles support across multiple areas of expertise. Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans; maintains system security. Researches and recommends enhancements to the infrastructure, provides technical expertise in the evaluation of new technologies, and prepares cost/benefit analyses for buy vs build recommendations.
