hi web4lib community,

have you read an interesting book recently that you'd like to tell others
about? i'm curious to try creating some video book reviews using the sightspeed
videoconferencing software, where i'd ask some general questions about the book
and why you liked it.

sightspeed software is free. the pro version of sightspeed (which costs
$5/month or $49/year) lets you record your videoconference to hard drive --
which you can then post on the web. i have the pro version of the software.

this is what recorded videoconferences look like.

i'd also love to try doing a book panel discussion -- with four people in
different states -- using this software. best as i can tell, sightspeed is able
to record this kind of video, too.

if you'd be interested in trying this, thanks for sending me an email
off-list. i do most of such experimenting on weekends, but i sometimes have free
time weekday mornings -- or weekday evenings.
