[Web4lib] Online "poster" tool for non-tech savvy faculty?

I can think of several possibilities.

1: wiki, it has the lowest maintaince, and probably the easiest to setup.
you can disable anonymous editing, the down side is, wiki editing
may not be enough for your users.

2: wordpress, you can mess around with css and maybe even
change some of the php code, but to a certain extent, it will always
feel blogish, not sure if that's a deal breaker or not.

3: use a full scale CMS system, like http://drupal.org
This will give you the most flexibility, but the initial setup
is more work.
