[Web4lib] Libraries that support user tagging in OPAC?

Er, I'm not entirely sure the utility of just 'tagging' the catalog (which I
think is what you mean by 'internal function of the catalog'). If that was
all that users could 'bookmark' in your electronic offerings, I think they'd
be pretty unsatisfied.
To address Bill's issue, a better way to implement such a system would be
either the way UPenn does it (which, I believe, bases it on the 001) or,
even better, would be a way to capture the data as an openurl, which would
then allow you to add in more services in the tagging application based on
the metadata that is captured.
While the opac is useful (well, YMMV), it shouldn't be considered as either
a destination or an end unto itself.
