Ads in Messenger

The ads that appear in Messenger are simply a web page from Netscape. You
can disable that page load or change the location by adding the following
prefs to your prefs.js file:

mailnews.start_page.enabled 

mailnews.start_page.url

There might even be a setting under Edit- Preferences but I don't have
4.7x handy at the moment.
