The September 2001 edition of Peter's Digital Reference Shelf is now
available on the Gale Group website. This month Peter reviews the
_Columbia World of Quotations_, a large and impressive free database by
Bartleby.com, and _Yahoo! Reference, a disappointing implementation of
good ready reference sources.

Check the Archive for Peter's August reviews of _Atomica 2.1_, a
splendidly integrated set of top-notch traditional and non-traditional
ready-reference sources, and _DealTime.com_, an excellent comparison
shopbot for books and other merchandise.

These in-depth reviews are illustrated with dozens of screenshots and
