Couldn't disagree more with the tone of this.  Yes, we shouldn't
rely on a link on a page as the only way for users to find us, but
don't discount the importance of prominent links as a means of
finding you.  And don't underestimate the importance of Web
presence as a means to reminding the "powers that be" that you
