Organizing Virtual Worlds

Hi All,
I am writing an article which examines the general topic of organization
and the that fact that computers and technology have presented us with
another "space" to organize: a vast virtual world. How much of what we
already know about getting and staying organized can be applied to
"electronic spaces"? Are there unique challenges to organizing objects in an
electronic world? How is it different? BTW, this article is for high school
students, parents and faculty.

I have a draft but am soliciting ideas from people who have thought and/or
written about the subject. Ultimately I would like to offer concrete
suggestions for keeping our virtual worlds (computer desktop, any electronic
information appliance) organized.

Thanks in advance,
