Illinois Digital Academic Library - Finalists for the First Digit al Resource Acquisition

As announced earlier, eight vendors submitted proposals in response to the
RFP to provide full text journal article resources for the Illinois Digital
Academic Library (IDAL). Review of the proposals is being conducted on
behalf of the Illinois academic library community by the Illinois Library
Computer Systems Orgnization (ILCSO) Electronic Resources Committee (ERC).
Three members from the non-ILCSO academic library community have been added
to the ERC to participate in the review process.

At its November 9 proposal review meeting, the ERC narrowed its list to two
finalists: EBSCO, and the Gale Group. It is anticipated that one finalist
vendor will be selected in early December.
