Opening the digest

I am new to the list & have just got my first digest message today. 
However there was no attachment icon (like a paperclip) to click onto, &
the only way to read the digest was scroll thru the whole list of messages.
 Does the digest feature in this list actually provide such an icon
feature, so that clicking on it provides me with a list of subject lines, &
then I can click on only the items of interest?
