NetMeeting in reference

We are exploring the use of Microsoft's NetMeeting to assist the reference
staff in providing reference services.

1.  Has anyone tried using NetMeeting to assist in mediated database
searching or in any other capacity in a reference department other than a
traditional conference setting?

2.  Has anyone tried other conferencing software in this context?
