Metadata for Networked Resources: a one day tutorial at the University
of Bristol, UK, to coincide with ALT-C 99.

This is a rare opportunity to hear authorities from the USA and Europe
speak simply but in detail about Metadata.  The tutorial will be
suitable for librarians, learning technologists, Web authors, Webmasters
and anyone else who wants to hear some answers to questions like:

Why is Metadata important?
What should I be doing about it?
What is RDF and how does it relate to Dublin Core?
How will my Metadata be used in the future?

The presenters have been key figures in the development of Dublin Core
(DC) and Resource Description Framework (RDF) and are actively involved in
the development of standards and solutions in the area.

Early booking is recommended as demand is expected to be high.
