Bob and Liz what do you think? The rest of you - what do you think about
the dates?

Ray--
I would suggest October 20.
There are set up issues with Netscape revolving around providing access to
IAC, while not allowing access to the Internet at large. Charles believes
we can solve these issues by October 20, but in case we can't, we might have
to be prepared to go temporarily with a workstation that is more "Catalog
Only" as opposed to "No Internet".
The other way to go is to have us work on solving the IAC issue and when we
have it solved, set up an initiation date.
How much notice do you want to give the public? One week?
As for signage, I suggest we assign that to one of the Branch Managers
involved, perhaps Elizabeth? She did a good job with the last batch of
signs.
I also suggest that we have one of them poll the others to identify the
workstation numbers from which they want to eliminate Internet. Maybe Bob
would be a good one for that assignment.

Jim: One more thing: I need to know when this will kick in
so that it can be ANNOUNCED IN ADVANCE. The change needs to be clear to all
concerned and all staff generally - even though it now only affects 6
branches.
THANKS , RAY

Last Friday was the deadline for input on
dividing the terminals catalog-only and internet and catalog. There was no
negative input. There were 5 e-mails from branches and one from CEN
(Stearns) supporting the idea. It was my understanding from the Admin
Council that we have now have approval to go forward since there were no
objections. Jim, can we:
- Decide on a date?
- Arrange for signage?
- Poll the BTLs on how many terminals in each location should be
switched?
- make the switch?
