Question about web sites that require usernames and passwords...

Hi!

We would like to offer Academe Today (from the Chronicle of Higher Education)  
to our patrons, but, they require a username and password to be entered in  
order to get access.  

How would one go about making this automatic?  We are useing Lynx on a VAX  
system.  

Any help would be appreciated!
