I have a fairly complex system that uses HyperCard, AppleScript and other
tools, which generates all of the pages on my server
(http://asearch.mccmedia.com/). I was looking at using FoxPro to manage
the older archives, but just this morning, I whipped up a script that uses
Verity's search engine to do everything I need (the engine handles both
fielded data and full-text). I'm on partial leave from Verity to work on
this sort of thing and do some writing, starting with a book on scripting
for the Web.

With more than 6,000 files on my server, it takes something more than 40
minutes to generate... ;-) This system lives at my home office and sends
the updates via ftp to my server. I'm considering adding more lists if
people will host them elsewhere, now that ftp is working reasonably
reliably.
