Synopsys, an EDA software company located in Mountain View, California, has an immediate opening for a Knowledge Tools Specialist.

Position: Knowledge Tools Specialist, Corporate Operations

Job Responsibilities:  The position provides significant support to clients using our OPSNet and Finance Intranet Web sites including needs analysis/assessment, content life cycle management, and development and maintenance of documentation, tools, templates and standards. The position is also responsible for implementing automated web tools and information management tools and additional related services as required.  Additionally, the position provides first-level cgi and second-level web programming services and is responsible for designing, developing and delivering appropriate analyses of web trends, metrics and requirements.  Responsibilities also include providing company-wide communication of Operations issues as well as representing Operations on the IntraNet council and other relevant teams.  

Job Requirements:  Essential skills include exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills necessary to assess customer needs, experience working in a knowledge management environment and demonstrated fluency in HTML.  The successful candidate will have computer software familiarity and some programming knowledge including working knowledge of UNIX, PERL, and Javascript.  A strong sense of customer service focus is essential.

Experience/Education:  Minimum:  Degree in Knowledge Management, Information Studies, Management Information Systems, or related discipline (Master's preferred).  This position requires at least one year of experience working on Intranet or Internet web sites.
