Discovery service guest access

We're a Summon site and we allow unauthenticated access. Summon has the smarts to prevent display of content that is restricted to authenticated users (from metadata to WoS citation counts) as dictated by the publishers.  The link resolver prompts for authentication when required.

For us it's a community obligation to share what we have - even if it will require a trip to the physical library to actually access an item. At least they can check whether it's available before trekking to us.

That many/most Summon institutions allow 'open' access to their instances is a great way for us poor admins to determine whether an issue is local or global too.
