Access to Non-Discovery Databases

Those are great ideas Lauren. We have been using Libguides (which we call
research guides) for this purpose. This guide--
http://researchguides.austincc.edu/austin-area-north--for instance,
features some of the locations outside the city proper that our
multi-campus community college serves, allowing us to provide links to
local newspapers and other features. We also promote databases for the
various disciplines in our Subject Guides.

We use a Spotlight <http://spotlightaccls.blogspot.com/> feature on our library
home page <http://library.austincc.edu/> to draw attention to specific
resources. The spotlights change every two weeks.
