I second Jesse's recommendation of HostGator.  I have used them for shared hosting for many years and I have no complaints.  I pay $9.95 per month for an account that allows unlimited domains and unlimited databases.  They have 24/7 support including chat.  Cpanel and phpMyAdmin are standard, and command line is available on request.  As long as you're not trying to run a massive Drupal site on it, you should be in great shape.

I have had good luck with HostGator.  I pay them $25 a month for a reseller account, where I can host as many domains as I please, and create as many databases as I like.  They have cheaper options, of course.

We are considering changing our database hosting site from Host My Site to a less expensive alternative with more functionality.  Below are what we have narrowed our choices down to.  
1) DreamHost
2) JustHost
3) GoDaddy
4) iPage
 
Our top priorities are up time, multiple/unlimited databases, adequate support, and cost effectiveness.  Does anyone have an experience or knowledge they could contribute to our decision?
