Just a suggestion, if you decide to go with a wiki (instead of a CMS
or DMS), you might consider
Confluence:www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/overview

It can create a more dynamic look and feel compared to something like
MediaWiki, and by default can do things such as threading and creating
communities.

Honestly, I've never personally used it, but have seen many
organizations use it successfully.
