[Web4lib] Kindles and Androids and Nooks (oh my!)

I think it is a "scary" because the information producers are heading down a
road of technology, standards, and licenses that can actually leave
libraries out of the picture if librarians are not proactive in working with
the information providers. It is also critical we take and make the
opportunities. Not all in the library profession are looking at e-books this
way and feel it is safer for libraries if we protect the print world that
most libraries flourish. The strategies be discussed by some are protecting
what we have always done rather than adapting with the users we serve.
