[Web4lib] Skillset for new librarians

See my post of just a few minutes ago.
Adding the fact that for years I have had a concern that libraries today are so 
different then the managing practices we learned and are still using to operate 
our libraries. 
Honestly, can anyone describe the role of today's librarian? Look at the postings 
about basic necessary skill-sets!
The "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" is my practice of not taking everything TOO 
seriously. 30 years in this business has taught me that.
