*Job Function*- Responsible for designing, testing, and implementing GIS 
and other database-driven Web applications for internal and external use.


*ACCOUNTABILITIES*
*
	Design, test, implement web applications that interface with Lehigh's 
Banner system and other administrative systems; write, test and debug 
program code; ensure cross-browser, cross-platform integrity of Web 
apps/pages

*
	Design and develop GIS web applications to support research and 
teaching; develop web-based mapping applications using the ArcGIS Server 
platform; provide in-person support and classroom instruction concerning 
all facets of the ArcGIS desktop application suite; develop 
geoprocessing models in ArcGIS Desktop (using tools including 
Modelbuilder and Python scripting)

*
	Participate in development of a CMS-based Web site that serves LTS Web 
pages and potentially other Lehigh divisions; work with Help Desk team 
web developers to design, test, and implement CMS-driven web pages

*
	Plan, design, and implement Web services using standard coding 
languages (HTML, XHTML, CSS), Web design software (Dreamweaver), 
scripting (JavaScript, PHP), content management tools, and 
graphics/multimedia software (Macromedia/Adobe Fireworks, Flash), etc.

*
	Attend conferences and training when available


*QUALIFICATIONS*
1.
	Bachelor's Degree - Computer science, engineering, or related field.

2.
	GIS certification or degree desired

3.
	One to three years related work experience

4.
	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

5.
	Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, 
spreadsheet, database, presentation and advanced graphics software

6.
	Ability to complete projects on time and on budget, and report on 
status and progress

7.
	Successful completion of standard background checks including but not 
limited to: social security verification, education verification, 
national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks and credit 
history based upon the requirements of the position


*SALARY GRADE*:
10-40

Salary Adjustments for internal candidates comply with University 
policy. For more information contact Human Resources.

*HIRING MINIMUM:*Mid-upper fifties
