[Web4lib] Choosing a wiki

I just finished a round of testing for our internal wikis. We only had
three requirements:
WYSIWYG editing.
FOS- Free/ open source
Wiki farming/Multi-wiki- We currently have about 10 internal
wikis.
Even though it is overkill for our needs, I am going to use Mediawiki.
My users are already familiar with the interface. (Wikipedia)
It is open source and written in PHP. I can extend it if I need
to.
Plugins are available.

Subject: [Web4lib] Choosing a wiki
Hello everyone,
I'm planning to install a wiki to be used by students in the PhD courses
we offer. I'd like to get this group's feedback on their favourite
wikis. I will be using a LAMP platform.
I have experience with Confluence, and like it quite well, and the
academic pricing is fair.
Opinions, please!
Cheers,
Kim
