[Web4lib] Are e-mail discussion lists still relevant?

Perhaps, but it reflects the strength of this medium in this kind of
situation.  It facilitates thoughtful analysis among interested parties.  A
forum can do that too, but the community is presently organized around this
listserv AND it has the advantage of being a "delivered" medium for people
who do not want to have to schedule log ons to a dedicated system.
