NFAIS Forum on Google, the Web and the Future Roles of Publishers and
Librarians:  Registration Discount Ends Friday, June 12th.  

 

Just a reminder that the registration discount ends on June 12th for the
NFAIS workshop on Google, the Web, and the Future Roles of Publishers and
Librarians.  The meeting, scheduled for June 26, 2009 at Drexel University
in Philadelphia, PA, is one that you won't want to miss.  And virtual
attendance is now an option if you cannot travel to the meeting!

the Web on a daily basis. You will listen to content providers discuss their
experiences in working with Google to increase user awareness and market
reach. And you will hear how abstracting and indexing services and
librarians are transforming their products and services for today's
Web-based information environment to ensure that scholars and researchers
obtain the quality search results that are essential to efficient and
cost-effective research.   In closing, Roy Tennant

and Research, will share his insights on the future role of libraries and
publishers in the face of Web information resources such as Google, and
discuss what they must do in order to ensure that that they continue to meet
the information needs of future generations of scholars and researchers.

Registration Fees:

 

Onsite Attendance: on or before June 12, 2009, NFAIS members pay $325 and
non-members pay $375 (registration fee includes continental breakfast, a box
lunch two refreshment breaks).  After June 12, 2009, NFAIS members pay $375
and non-members pay $425.  

 

Virtual Attendance: on or before June 12, 2009, NFAIS members pay $295 and
non-members pay $345. After June 12, 2009, NFAIS members pay $345 and
non-members pay $395.  A group discount is available:  Unlimited attendees
from the same organization can participate virtually for a flat fee of $995.
