I was wondering when someone was going to mention something like this.
Typically I don't run into issues with users for applications I develop
from users that don't upgrade their browsers but rather those that want
to stay on the bleeding edge and report an inability to use a five year
old web application with the latest alpha release of a certain browser
on their platform of choice (i.e. ubuntu). In the case of an
application which runs on a current production release browser but has
issues with an older browser, the problem can be fixed with a browser
upgrade. However, when trying to satisfy the needs of those that are
intent on using bleeding edge technology it's pretty much going to
require modifications to the application.
I wonder how many developers even know what the most frequently used
mobile browser is, let alone, what other mobile browsers exist and how
they are different.
