[Web4lib] wifi support fo cell phones

We would treat them like any other wi-fi enabled device and they would be allowed access. We have separate wi-fi networks for staff and the public and our polices are written to cover any device using our networks not just computers. I haven't noticed anyone using cell phones on our wi-fi network but I have seen people using PDAs on it. We don't allow voice calls on cell phones in the library but texting, wi-fi, and other quiet use would be ok.

Just looking at what other sites might have in place for this type of service.

Many newer cell phone have the ability to use WiFi connections. Have any sites developed policies around this? Do you allow anyone on, or is it restricted to staff/faculty. We currently use Bluesocket to require users to authenticate from their laptops, if you have some type of authentication, like this, how do you allow users on your WiFi connection from cell phones?

Or, do you just not allow it.
