[Web4lib] Flash

Dear Patty:

My suggestion would be to get a third party program. Swish
(http://www.swishzone.com/) is a nice alternative.

While Flash is very powerful, it is not very intuitive or
user-friendly. I haven't used Flash CS3 yet, but experience with
previous versions made me feel like crying. :P It also depends on how
complex the project you are working on is. If you are just looking for
something that will create a flashy ad or play audio/video, the third
party program isn't a bad idea. If you are looking for something a bit
more complex (Web application or Web site), you will need to have some
familiarity with ActionScript (programming). If the latter is the
case, I would either hire out (contract) or send someone to Flash
training. Flash isn't something easily learned from books (in my
opinion).
