[Web4lib] Networking legacy CD-based resources

Thank you to everyone who has replied.

The short answer, Dan, is that it is a mixed bag, I believe, depending
on the license, of course. I've not reviewed them all, yet (we have more
of these than I at first hoped). Despite a bit of pressure, I'm looking
to only make available those that it looks like we are legally allowed
to. But thank you for raising the issue!

I don't have an answer for the software question, but have one of my
own. Are you sure that you can legally network these? Many CDs have
licenses that forbid networking of any kind for any reason, even if
limited to single user access. I know many libraries violated those
contracts back in the days of CD towers (and my late, lamented CDROMLAN
list), but I'd still want to be sure.
