Do you love working with teens? Do teens flock to your programs? Can
you booktalk to the toughest crowd? Can you build a rapport with teens
from a variety of backgrounds? Would you like to work with teens in the
corrections system? Do you have a strong public service attitude? Are
you creative, passionate and fun? Is your knowledge of young adult
literature and popular culture second to none?
If so, you may be the next Johnson County Library Young Adult Librarian.
To be successful, you will need a MLS and the ability to communicate
effectively, be techno-savvy and have the ability to approach life with
a sense of humor. Your role will be supported by a team of experienced,
talented professionals working in an award-winning and challenging
environment.
Johnson County Library is located in metropolitan Kansas City and serves
a population of over 391,000 with a Central Resource Library (CRL) and
twelve branch libraries.
