[Web4lib] PLATO?

We had a Plato device with the orange plasma display at Michigan State
sometime in the mid 70s. MSU shares some other history with Illinois. Our
first computer, MISTIC, was a clone of the ILLIAC. And MSU chose CDC
computers to follow MISTIC, well into the 1970s. CDC's CEO, William Norris,
had a sister on the faculty at MSU.
Ah, the late, lamented Control Data Corporation.
Back in the mid 1970s it had to be Arpanet and / or point to point
connections, not the Internet.
