This will be a practical and hands-on workshop designed to teach
participants to apply key website design and usability testing principles
to library website design. Participants will complete exercises in creating
usability test plans and scripts, running a usability test, and performing
website design reviews.

Chris Jasek, User Centered Design Manager, Elsevier
Chris Jasek has Masters Degree in Human Factors Engineering and a BS in
Computer Science from the University of Illinois. He has worked for 10
years in the field of user-centered design for LexisNexis and Elsevier. In
his present position as User Centered Design Manager he helped form the
Elsevier User Centered Design Group and integrate the UCD process into the
organization. He has researched user needs and worked on the user interface
design for many products, such as nexis.com, ScienceDirect, Scopus,
Meridian and ENCompass.
