[Web4lib] usability studies of online catalogs

I'm looking specifically for studies that demonstrated subjects interacting
with online catalogs, citation databases, or similar full-text-sparse
directories and portals had trouble retrieving information due to conceptual
models based on search methods successful for full-text. (What might be
called the "Google effect.")

Before I begin a literature search, can anyone suggest articles/studies that
are clearly on topic?
