[Web4lib] setting up new server problems - reprise

To all you kindly folks who have been so helpful:
Many, many thanks for all your suggestion.

I uninstalled/re-installed IIS and the only change I made to the 
defaults was locating the web page files, and now I can access localhost 
and the computer name - hooray. Tomorrow morning I'll test to see if 
it's accessible thru the external hookup (hope, hope). Then I can start 
worrying about securing the server.

Now if only I knew what I had changed before that made the difference...

What happens if I never do put in the host header (www.sitename)? I 
haven't yet...
