[Web4lib] ISAPI_Rewrite vs. EZproxy?

I have been asked to use ISAPI_Rewrite in place of EZproxy for
authentication.  The server it will run on uses Microsoft IIS. Has
anyone done this?  I have looked at the Helicon website but can not find
any information in understandable everyday English.  Are there any
things I should be concerned about?  Will ISAPI_Rewrite work with SFX?
Please send me responses off list and I will compile them.
