The National Library of Medicine, Public Services Division, invites applications for a systems librarian to join a small team responsible for MEDLINEplus, NLM's consumer health web site, and other web-based systems. The position provides opportunities to work with staff throughout NLM, other NIH institutes, and NN/LM network member libraries.   This position requires: 
- understanding the structure of biomedical information and vocabulary especially as it relates to consumer health
- performing quality monitoring of MEDLINEplus
- preparing and presenting formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences
- writing system requirements for technical and non-technical staff
- working in a relational database environment
-  writing test procedures and testing system releases
