Google's search page and Yahoo's search page look very similar to me.
But since Yahoo doesn't see itself as fundamentally a search company,
its search page isn't www.yahoo.com (it's search.yahoo.com).

Likewise, Google's news portal at news.google.com looks an awful lot
like Yahoo to me.  In both cases, form follows function, but the
function at the "www" page differs by the company's self-perception.
