Digital Systems Librarian, Regis University, Denver, Colorado.  

 

The Regis University Libraries seek a dynamic, team-oriented librarian to participate in the leadership and development of electronic resources and services.  Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the integrated library system ("Millennium" of Innovative Interfaces, Inc.); managing specific aspects of web design and content related to the University Libraries; ensuring proper access to the libraries' electronic resources; assisting other librarians and library staff in the use of electronic resources; providing leadership in the development of digital technologies in the library; participating, as required, in library instruction; contributing to collection development; as a faculty member, participating in the various aspects of the life of the University; establishing a career path congruent with the requirements of tenure.  This position reports to the Electronic Services Librarian.

 

Qualifications:  At minimum, three years' experience as a professional librarian, preferably as an academic library computing systems administrator (or equivalent); experience with Innovative Interface, Inc. system; familiarity with web design; a creative approach to library services exhibiting a vision for education in a distributed learning environment; especially strong commitment to service, innovation and collegiality.  Candidate must show evidence of imaginative thinking and planning, flexibility, and solid communication skills. Must possess an ALA-accredited MLS, and show potential for contributing to the profession through professional organizations and publications.  

 

Compensation:  This appointment is a ranked, tenure-track faculty position.  Regis University supports professional development through subsidies for professional travel and a flexible sabbatical program.  Competitive salary (minimum $48,242) and a generous benefits package, including relocation subsidy as required.
