[Web4lib] Re: Contents of Web4lib Digest Vol4 Issue 11: Google Print Snippets

I'm currently doing a study of Google's Global Digital Library and it seems 
to me that most of the books set for digitalizing will have limited use when 
reduced to out-of-context snippets. Is it possible to learn anything about 
the rest of the book from a few sentences? Doesn't the scanning of the 
volumes not in public domain and providing even useless snippets violate 
copyright laws? What of the overload of responses on a search word?
