Geographic information systems (GIS) bring new perspectives to academic,
government, and public issues by providing a spatial dimension to
problem solving. Libraries are often a hub for GIS services, and the
growing applicability of GIS to a broad variety of users and disciplines
highlights the need for libraries to perform outreach and training as
well as to develop new service models to meet individual institutional
needs.
In this live, interactive webcast you will learn more about how
libraries are supporting GIS users and supplying GIS services across the
institution and through partnerships beyond the library. By providing
you with direct access to hands-on experts, this Webcast gives library
staff, campus faculty, and administrators an opportunity to explore this
topic in a shared learning environment.
