[Web4lib] can anyone suggest a service that will meet these requirements?

I'm sorry I'm too short on time to research this answer more for you,
but my Web host recently announced that they have made a Web Calendar
application available to those who use their hosting service. I haven't
used it, so I can't tell you the features. The announcement is pasted
below.

One thing I can say is that the outstanding DreamHost staff pick great
open source applications to promote through their "One Click Install"
process. I feel certain that this application would be good, but I
can't say whether it meets all your criteria.

You might want to track down the website for the application and read
the specs for yourself. The software is called WebCalendar 1.0.2 and
the developer's address is http://www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php.

Perhaps this will be helpful? Sorry I can't provide more.

New One-Click Install: WebCalendar 1.0.2!
Hey Everybody!

In case last week you didn't read the succinct-est newsletter you'll
ever get from us, we're quickly recapping the major points via
announcement.

You can now install WebCalendar (a pretty full featured, open-source,
standards-based, web-calendar application) from our "Goodies >
One-Click Installs" area:

Need a nice centralized online planning system on a server YOU control?

Give it a look-see!

I haven't seen much in the way of downloadable calendar software that
is very good and/or meets your requirements. However, if you decide to
home-grow a solution you might want to take a look at other popular
event calendars online. You probably already have but here are some of
the bigger ones:

upcoming.org - bought by Yahoo, the one I like the best. iCal and RSS
output along with an API

eventful.com - similar to upcoming.org

meetup.com - while not exactly an events site it is easy to use and
many people use it to organize get togethers.

Hopefully that gives you some inspiration. Since some of them have
API's you may be able to build something on top of them.
