Acrobat 6

Has anyone else had difficulties with Acrobat 6 and pdfs on a Web Server?
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/31722.htm.  I have set up a page for
our users with the one solution that has worked, i.e., save the file to the
hard drive, and open from the saved location.  I tried updating Acrobat to
6.0.1 and .2, per their instructions, but this didn't solve the problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
