Internet database searching

Dear List:

Our Local History/Genealogy Department has produced a number of databases
that have been exported in XML and are waiting to be mounted on our
website. My question: does anyone know of a free or reasonably priced
software that will allow patrons who access our website to search the
individual databases? We want them to be able to search the databases, not
our website.
