Clarification on promoting wireless

I may have confused some people with my earlier message on libraries using
wireless LANs. I am looking for libraries that used the installation of
their wireless network as an opportunity to reach out to users and to show
the library as a place of high tech. I would like to link to examples of
policies, promotional materials, news releases, and other items used to
inform your user communities about your wireless networks.

Here at Morrisville College Library we used the introduction of wireless and
laptops about five years ago to change the image of librarians and to draw
more people into the library. We made sure the entire campus was aware of
the fact that we had wireless access through the entire building. We did
this via e-mail newsletters and signage. We used laptops with wireless
ourselves at the reference desk so that students would see us using the
technology. We still do that.
