Content Server from Inmagic versus Text Encoding Initiative

Hi,

I wish to make a series of journal articles available on the web. The articles contain many names, place names and dates. I would like people to be able to search for these under different indices.

I also wish to enable users to search for search terms that occur in the same sentence as well as terms that occur in the same paragraph and in the same article.

I believe there are two ways to proceed. Using a markup language like TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) and then making these documents searchable using something like Xindice for Apache.

Alternatively, I believe Content Server from Inmagic will do much of what I want.

Which is the best approach? Should I be considering something completely different.

All ideas welcome.

Regards
John
