Full-time professional position available immediately.
Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the development and
maintenance of University Libraries' web services and related
technology; evaluate new Internet technology for implementation;
coordinate, develop and implement digital library systems and services;
assist with technical support and implementation issues related to
digital library projects; manage and coordinate the technical support of
electronic information resources; identify, evaluate, and recommend
hardware and software technology that support and enhance library
technology services and programs.  Salary negotiable from a minimum of
$40,000.

 

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science,
information systems/technology, MIS, or related field;  at least two
years of professional experience in information technology; Web site
design and development experience; working knowledge of basic Microsoft
Office applications; effective oral and written communication skills;
supervisory experience  Preferred qualifications:  MLS/MLIS/MIS degree
from an ALA accredited program or other Master's degree; additional
advanced degrees, particularly in the areas of Information Systems,
Computer Science or related fields; knowledge of and experience with
library processes and procedures and the demonstrated ability to apply
information technology solutions to them; experience in developing and
administering digital library systems and services; knowledge of or
technical experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications,
and/or integrated library systems.
