[WEB4LIB] Cross-campus searching

I've heard a number of students here at CWRU tell that you can set up a
reasonably effective search service with not a lot of effort using htdig
on a Linux box. Just configure htdig to look at specific domains on
whatever schedule you like. You'll need to run one of the SQL packages
that ship with most Linux distros but there again, fairly simple to get
set up.

There are also a few Perl based packages that can be tied into Apache
and your favorite SQL.
