Possibilities: disable Javascript, or right-click the link and select "Open
in New Window." In IE, from the new window, press Ctrl-N. IE open new
windows, with all the chrome, open to the same URL as the current
window. If none of that works, do a right click and "Copy link location"
(or whatever your browser calls it) and paste that back into the current
window's location bar.
