Critical Legal Concerns for Information Professionals
This seminar will provide a cutting edge survey of recent laws and
judicial decisions that are essential knowledge for information
professionals. Do you understand your rights and responsibilities in
these areas? As a responsible information professional, you must
maintain a current awareness of these critical legal issues!
Topics will focus on the latest legal developments and may include:
· Information Security - Nat'l Security Espionage to Commercial Theft
· Information Systems Security - Computer Fraud and Abuse Act
· Traditional Copyright and Napster litigation
· The DMC & the Reimerdes litigation
· Licensing, UCITA and database legislation
